Area: Via Veneto

As you step onto Via Veneto, you will feel like being in Fellini’s celebrated film, La Dolce Vita, only 50 years later. Though no longer frequented by insistent paparazzi, Via Veneto still boasts chic outdoor cafes and restaurants. This is an excellent area for people-watching, as you may spot VIPs and famous actors and actresses in Cafè de Paris and Harry’s Bar. Discover high-end boutiques and stylish shops.

As you reach the end of Via Veneto, cross under the ancient entrance of Porta Pinciana and stroll in the majestic Villa Borghese Park. Here you can visit the museum and admire works of Caravaggio, Bernini and Canova, or take your kids to the Villa Borghese Zoo.

Piazza di Spagna with its celebrated Spanish steps is one of the most renowned landmarks of Rome. Climb the longest and widest staircase in Europe and you will reach the panoramic terraces of the Pincian Hill and the Trinità dei Monti Church. Piazza di Spagna houses the Barcaccia fountain, a masterpiece of early Baroque architecture completed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The square and its surroundings have been celebrated in tens of famous films.

This area is also known for the several small streets with cafes, typical restaurants and designer shops.
